There are major differences be...Exactly right, Don. There are major differences between Rush, Hannity, and the liberal talkers from Al Franken to Roseanne Barr. Limbaugh readily admits his to his huge ego, since he doesn't take many phone calls and still has one of the highest rated talk shows, he can't be faulted for understanding that listeners tune-in not because of they want to hear themselves on radio, but to hear Rush.

Hannity actually explained why he repeats himself and it's not to hear himselk talk. Most of talk radio's audience listens for only 15-30 minutes and much of that time is advertising. He repeats so the listeners coming and going know what's going on.

I've listened to Air America for a short time. The on-air personalities (we know who they are and were) are celebrities who's entire career has been created by means of 'look at ME' and 'listen to ME'. I experianced the whole list of liberal talking points ad nauseum in just 15 minutes. They talk for their own entertainment and, more importantly, to vent their own insecurities and stupidity. Th liberal talkers are very good at holding forth on subjects about which they quite obviously know no nothing. And just so the show could demonstrate diversity phone lines were open for blacks, latinos, women, etc can repeat the same liberal talking points. Now that's diversity, unlike the diversity of Conservative talk radio which allows people to actually verbalize some original thoughts.

Truth is, I listen to a few minutes of Dennis Prager, Rush Limbaugh, Larry Elder, Michael Medved, Sean Hannity, John and Ken, Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingrham, and Al Rantel. My trip to work is 15-20 minutes each way and my lunch break is 30 minutes. I listen to whoever is on-air at those times, but never exclusivly to any talker during those short periods. I'm a channel chaser.Indigo Redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17906787350123925867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12392119.post-35966023666812856762007-06-30T04:31:00.000-07:002007-06-30T04:31:00.000-07:00I am not about to let any radio host tell me how t...I am not about to let any radio host tell me how to think or vote. Limbaugh and Hannity are the best way to keep abreast of what is happening in Washington. You just have to get past Rush's ego and Sean repeating himself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
