Obama Campaign Blocking Donor Scandal Story

Things that make you go, "Hmmm."

In September 2008, the Obama campaign raised $150 million, a record at that time, and added 632,000 new donors then. The Examiner wrote that the Obama 2008 campaign was wracked with a similar scandal in which campaign donors were allowed to use “largely untraceable prepaid credit cards that could potentially be used to evade limits on how much an individual is legally allowed to give or to mask a contributor's identity." Now, in September 2012, another $150 million has been raised under mysterious circumstances that are again not open to public scrutiny because the donated amounts fell below the reporting limits.
According to the Washington Examiner, “a taxpayer watchdog group conducted a nine-month investigation” and uncovered “thousands of cases of credit card solicitations and donations” to the Obama campaign. Many of those donations have allegedly come from overseas and may be in violation of federal election laws.

National outlets are preparing stories on the matter, and the Obama campaign has been trying to block those stories from being published.

The Wall Street Journal, citing “people familiar with the totals,” reported the Obama campaign’s September fundraising haul on Thursday, which shattered the campaign’s August record of $114 million for the most money raised in a month during the 2012 election cycle.

The Obama campaign in August also broke the Romney campaign’s three-month streak in which it beat the Obama campaign in fundraising.

And in August, the Obama campaign raised $25 million from people donating $200 or less. In addition, while the September figures are not yet known, “more than 2 million people” had donated $25 or less as of August to the Obama campaign.
Hmmm.

The Obama is Bored

Keep in mind this is the Leader of the Free World and Most Powerful Man on the Planet not a 12 year old child on a school night.

CBS/Chicago, The Right Politics says,
...President Barack Obama is bored with the entire debate process. He allegedly told a political volunteer: “They’re making me do my homework. They’re keeping me indoors all the time… It’s a drag.”

The Other Obama Race Speech

The Daily Caller posted tonight the full 36 minute video of a speech The Obama gave June 2007 at the Hampton University in Virginia.
In a video obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller, then-presidential candidate Barack Obama tells an audience of black ministers, including the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that the U.S. government shortchanged Hurricane Katrina victims because of racism.

“The people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much!” Obama shouts in the video, which was shot in June of 2007 at Hampton University in Virginia. By contrast, survivors of Sept. 11 and Hurricane Andrew received generous amounts of aid, Obama explains. The reason? Unlike residents of majority-black New Orleans, the federal government considers those victims “part of the American family.”

The racially charged and at times angry speech undermines Obama’s carefully-crafted image as a leader eager to build bridges between ethnic groups. For nearly 40 minutes, using an accent he almost never adopts in public, Obama describes a racist, zero-sum society, in which the white majority profits by exploiting black America. The mostly black audience shouts in agreement. The effect is closer to an Al Sharpton rally than a conventional campaign event.

Daily Caller

The speech was given in the middle of a campaign, but much of the speech evaded review because The Obama went off-script several times in extended passages. The media was then provided a "transcript" of the event, but was really the prepared remarks as written beforehand. Much of the speech is racial (racist?) in nature.
Obama makes repeated and all-but-explicit appeals to racial solidarity, referring to “our” people and “our neighborhoods,” as distinct from the white majority. At one point, he suggests that black people were excluded from rebuilding contracts after the storm: “We should have had our young people trained to rebuild the homes down in the Gulf. We don’t need Halliburton doing it. We can have the people who were displaced doing that work. Our God is big enough to do that.”

This theme — that black Americans suffer while others profit — is a national problem, Obama continues: “We need additional federal public transportation dollars flowing to the highest need communities. We don’t need to build more highways out in the suburbs,” where, the implication is, the rich white people live. Instead, Obama says, federal money should flow to “our neighborhoods”: “We should be investing in minority-owned businesses, in our neighborhoods, so people don’t have to travel from miles away.”

The solution, Obama says, is a series of new federal programs, including one to teach punctuality to the poor: “We can’t expect them to have all the skills they need to work. They may need help with basic skills, how to shop, how to show up for work on time, how to wear the right clothes, how to act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there.”
Read the entire Daily Caller article for analysis and two more videos. The pandering, the gestures, and vocal accent gymnastics is really kind of scary. Who is The Obama?

Operation Fast and Furious: Arming the Enemy (Univision, English subtitles, full show)

Univision, the Spanish language television network in the United States, aired an in-depth report about the gunwalking scandal called Fast and Furious here and Rapido y Furioso in Mexico. The gun program begun in 2009, released thousands of high powered long guns and smaller handguns purchased in US border states into Mexico and allowed them to be delivered to drug cartels which used those arms to kill rival gangsters and innocent Mexican citizens by the tens of thousands.

The killing goes on to this day with Fast and Furious guns turning up at new crime scenes in Mexico. This is the entire 45 min program in Spanish with English subtitles.

Democrat Registration Falls in Swing States

Ohio, an election swing state, has seen a steep decline in Democrat voter registration greater than other swing states. From four years ago, Ohio Democrat registration has declined 490,000 voters 44% of whom live in Cleveland and the surrounding area of Cuyahoga County where Republicans are usually outnumbered by Democrats 2:1. Additionally, 350,000 registrants are from the voter rolls in the three largest counties of Cuyahoga, Hamilton, and Franklin with large urban centers of customarily majority Democrat voters.
Ohio is not alone. An August study by the left-leaning think tank Third Way showed that the Democratic voter registration decline in eight key swing states outnumbered the Republican decline by a 10-to-one ratio. In Florida, Democratic registration is down 4.9 percent, in Iowa down 9.5 percent. And in New Hampshire, it's down down 19.7 percent.
(...)
The dip in registration has been framed by some as the result of Republican efforts to suppress the vote - an accusation that Ohio Secretary of State John Husted, a Republican, categorically rejects.
The drop in Democrat voter registrants, according to The Third Way, coincides with a sharp increase of about 500,000 Independent voters over four years ago. Although the Independent vote may tilt to Obama, Independents are an unstable voting block. Polls indicate Romney is doing better with Independents than Democrats which creates inconsistent data the media is using to boost Obama's poll numbers along with 2008 voting models instead with a large Democrat turnout rather the 2010 election in which the Democrats and Obama took a "shellacking" from the overwhelming Republican and TEA Party turnout.
