Black Congresswoman Can't Remember the Name of Missing White Woman

Congresswoman Corrine Brown (D-Fla.) was interviewed on CNN Wednesday about the outrage she, her colleagues, and the black community expressed over the death of Trayvon Martin. CNN's Brooke Baldwin asked Brown,
"Would you, would your fellow African American lawmakers be as concerned about this case if Trayvon wasn’t black?"
"Oh let me tell you something. We had an incident in my area where a young white female was murdered and I was just as concerned, absolutely, I care about all of the children,” Brown said. “You know, you can make this –"
"Congresswoman Brown, what was her name?" Baldwin interjected.

Couldn't even remember the dead white woman's name and this is not about race. Pfft!

The missing woman Congresswoman Brown can’t remember is 33 year old Michele Parker who has been missing since November 2011 after a taping of the television show "People's Court" in a dispute with her ex-boyfriend over a $5,000 engagement ring that was lost after she threw it at him during a fight. She was last seen dropping off the couple's twin boys at their father's house. The Florida DCF investigated, found the children had been exposed to violence by the father, but didn't have enough evidence to remove them from his custody. As of Feb 2012, Parker remains missing, presumed dead, and the ex-boyfriend remains the primary suspect.

She said, "The Congressional Black Caucus is the conscience of the Congress." Pfffft.

The "conscience of the Congress" has selective amnesia.

All the black Congressmen say that - except Allen West, who is not allowed to join - because no one will want to argue against having a conscience.

I think a lot of credit should go to CNN's Baldwin for being obviously exasperated with more black obfuscation and not letting the Congresswoman off the hook by tenaciously going after the name.
