Meryl Streep: From Iron Lady to Cinderella in a Single Misstep
Meryl Streep stepped out of her high-heeled shoe last night at the British BAFTA Awards while climbing to the stage, turning only to point at her shoe on the step, but kept walking to the podium. Colin Firth, who was presenting the award, quickly came to her rescue as any proper Prince Charming would, retrieved the errant shoe, knelt on one knee and held it in place as Miss Streep slid her foot into the slipper.
