BP Shuts Off Oil, Obama to Take Credit

BP sealed the Gulf of Mexico oil leak "85 days, 16 hours and 25 minutes after the first report April 20 of an explosion on the BP-leased Deepwater Horizon oil rig that killed 11 workers and triggered the spill."

Obama is expected to take credit for the containment cap design and all success stemming from the work of BP engineers. At the end of financial reform comments to reporters at the White House, Obama was asked if he had anything to say about the oil cap. Obama said, no leaks is "a positive sign and I'll have more to say tomorrow."
