Reagan Aimed For Stars, Obama Aims For Swamp

Ronald Reagan, not yet Governor of California, was invited to speak to the 1964 Republican National Convention held in San Francisco, California. Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat from Texas, was the sitting President running for his first elected term as president after assuming office Nov. 22, 1963 when then-President John Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Senator Barry Goldwater, an Arizona Republican, was running against the socialist policies of the Great Society and the War on Poverty favoring the energy and abilities of private citizens and enterprise to work out the nations problems.

Text at Indigo Continuum
Ronald Reagan had been a long time Democrat until that election. The arguments and actions of Democrats in support of social justice convinced Reagan the Democrat party was solidly opposed to the traditional American way of life. And despite all the evidence of the failure of their do-gooder policies, such failure only convinced Liberal Democrats they weren't doing enough. Just one more tax dollar would solve any problem and when that didn't work add another million dollars for surely that will make everything work. When that still didn't work, today's Democrats are promising billions and trillions more tax dollars will solve all social ills that have yet to be solved despite the train loads of treasure already thrown down the rabbit hole of social and economic justice. President Bush left office with an unconscionable $440 billion debt from his eight years in office. In just the first six months of his administration, Obama increased the debt to a pornographic $4,300,000,000,000, that's 4.3 trillion tax dollars.

Private citizen Reagan warned of the encroaching socialism from the Democrat party in 1964. It's here today in living color and full-throated glory, from the redefinition of words to gangland style intimidation. The nation chose the empty promises of the Democrat Lyndon Johnson and his Great Society by portraying Goldwater as a trigger happy war monger all the while conducting a bloody war in southeast Asia we know as the Vietnam War, a war that lasted more than a decade and killed 54,000 Americans.

Freedom was at stake then, is still at stake today and the forces of totalitarianism are winning. The nation chose Johnson then and Obama now. Two do-gooders with a decided socialist bent. We didn't solve poverty with The Great Society and all the money thrown at the problem then and we won't solve society's ills with government takeovers of private enterprise companies today.

"From the swamp to the stars," Reagan said. This past week NASA was told another Moon mission was not going to happen while the proposed Health Care/Insurance Reform program threatens to swamp this nation in socialist debt for generations. As a nation, we didn't listen to Reagan's warning 45 years ago. We damned well better listen now.

Scary Headlines Scare Scary People

Pretty scary stuff from ABC and Brian Ross. Seems everyone opposing or merely questioning government policy is out to kill Obama.

The Blotter from Brian Ross

Headline to catch your attention -

Fear for Obama's Safety Grows as Hate Groups Thrive on Racial Backlash

Subhead to hook you into the story -

Violent Signs, Gun, Standoff Latest in Emerging Anger Towards the President

By BRIAN ROSS, ANNA SCHECTER and MEGAN CHUCHMACH
August 14, 2009

Experts who track hate groups across the U.S. are growing increasingly concerned over violent rhetoric targeted at President Obama, especially as the debate over health care intensifies and a pattern of threats emerges.

The Secret Service is investigating a Maryland man who held a sign reading "Death to Obama" and "Death to Michelle and her two stupid kids" outside a town hall meeting this week. And in New Hampshire, another man stood across the street from a Presidential town hall with his gun on full display.

Los Angeles police officers apprehended a man Thursday after a standoff with him inside a red Volkswagen Bug car in Westwood, CA – the latest disturbing case even though officials said the man had mental problems.
Yes, indeed, scary stuff.

Then, 10 paragraphs into the story, we get to the actual fact of the matter:

...officials told ABC News that the President's daily threat matrix has yet to reflect a sharp increase in threats...
Then WTF is the problem? Where's the story if the threat matrix shows no threat increase.

Bush had people threatening to kill him everyday. In 2005, people wore t-shirts with "Kill Bush" printed on the front. A women at a demonstration carried a sign reading, "I'm here to kill Bush (shoot me)". Nobody batted an eye then, least of all President Bush. Say anything similar about the O-man and you get tear gassed, pepper sprayed, and arrested. And the rest of the Obama supporters are labelled as unhinged, crazy, racist, and un-American.

The sub-story, the real story, is Left wing paranoia, media fear mongering, and Obama propaganda.

Obama Leftists Selling Patriots as Crazies

Few are buying.

You Tube

Today's Rasmussen Poll indicates a continuing drop in Obama's approvals.

38% Strongly Disapprove Obama's job performance as President and 30% Strongly Approve. In November 2008, Obama was elected by a 53% majority. This month, August 2009, Obama's approval numbers have been 53% or lower every day for a month, with 51% now disapproving of his performance.

44% Trust Republicans more on the health care issue while 41% Trust Democrats more. In June, Democrats had a 10 point advantage in the health care debate.

Fewer and fewer people are buying into Obama's hopeychangey thing. The lights are coming on.

Gitmo Terrorists May Go Home to Michiganistan

Federal and state officials are considering Standish, Michigan maximum security prison as the new lock-up for Guantanamo detainees. Standish is about 145 miles, 2 hrs, north of Detroit and Dearbornistan.

Dearborn, Michigan is called the Muslim capital in the United States because there are more Muslims there than anywhere else in America. Sharia law is openly practiced in many areas with impunity often with the acquiescence of city officials as happened last June 21st at the Dearborn Arab Festival as documented by the good guys at Answering Muslims blog.

If Obama closes Gitmo and sends the terrorists to Standish, he might as well be sending them home. Putting Muslim terrorists in the midst of jihadis in America is only inviting prison breaks and an impossible recapture scenario.

Two commenters in the Bay City News are fairly typical,

Lets see, there is already a multimillion dollar facility in cuba, at a secure military base that is run by trained military military police to deal with these very violent and dangerous people. Lets close that down and spend millions to build something else to do the same job. And we wonder why the country is going broke. Good job Obama. Can't wait to see how much we are about to save on health care using the same money saving tactics.

Standish Michigan....just two hours from Detroit Michigan, which has the largest Arab population in the world (outside the middle east,) its a known major financial support center and a lucrative recruiting area for international terrorist groups: Hizballah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Egyptian Brotherhood, Al-Gama’at, Al-Islamiyya, and Al Qaeda.....sounds like a GREAT IDEA!!!
It's an Obama idea. Of couse, it's a GREAT IDEA!!!

Death Panel Death Knell

HR 3200 End of Life provisions, Section 1233, that did not exist will be stricken from the bill it wasn't in. The end of life provision would have mandated the government to badger counsel the elderly and others about certain unspecified details of pre-expiration preparation for the expiration event. But, only if it had existed which we've been assured by Obama and Co. certainly did not exist.

Not so bad really, but the section also authorized the Secretary of Health and Human Services to define end of life milestones and determine those eligible for services. A non-legislative panel would then determine whether further life saving care and expense would be appropriate and communicate those concerns to the family members or any custodial care representative. Of course, absolutely no pressure for life termination to save money and free-up bed space would be exerted as the whole program is to be run by a loving and benevolent government and would be strictly voluntary just like Obama's proposed government requirement for student paid volunteer community service.

From the AP/Yahoo -

Key senators are excluding a provision on end-of-life care from health overhaul legislation after language in a House bill caused a furor.

Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said in a statement Thursday that the provision had been dropped from consideration because it could be misinterpreted or implemented incorrectly.

A health care bill passed by three House committees allows Medicare to reimburse doctors for voluntary counseling sessions about end-of-life decisions. But critics have claimed the provision could lead to death panels and euthanasia for seniors.
It's all moot anyway since the death panel provision was never in the HR3200 in the first place. Wink, wink...

Beware Democrats Armed with "Fact" Cards

The CCCP DCCC (Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee) sends out millions email spam everyday and it seems they all end up in my inbox. This is one of them. It is a facsimile of one that contains health care myth/fact talking points for Obots who can't remember the good points of their own whiz bang socialist health care plan, but can clearly remember seeing swastikas that weren't there because Nancy Pelosi said they were on display somewhere she cannot recall.

Please use this card to counter the Republican myths on health care reform!

Health Insurance Reform Fact Check: 5 Republican Myths Obstructing Health Care Reform

MYTH: Grassroots Protestors are Disrupting Town Halls
House Republican Leader John Boehner’s Office: “Back home for the August recess, rank-and-file Democratic Members of the House are facing a backlash from their constituents.”

FACT: Lobbyist-Run Groups Are Orchestrating Extremist Mobs
Republicans and well-funded special interest groups are sending far-right extremists to local town halls to stop any meaningful discussion of Health Insurance Reform. Some of these mob scenes have turned especially ugly -- including the hanging of Members of Congress in effigy and use of Nazi SS symbols.

*******
MYTH: “Government-Encouraged Euthanasia”
House Republican Leader John Boehner claimed the House bill “may start us down a treacherous path toward government-encouraged euthanasia.”

FACT: The claim is “nonsense.”
The bill never requires anyone to discuss end-of-life care. Rather, the bill ensures medical professionals who do offer this type of counseling … are reimbursed for their time, just as … for other types of counseling or medical services.

*******
MYTH: Private Plans Outlawed
Rep. Doc Hastings (R-Wash.) claimed on his website that individual private health insurance plans will be outlawed in 2013 under the Democratic health care plan.

FACT: Private health insurance not banned
Individual policies will continue to be available, but people will buy those policies through the national health insurance exchange, which will ensure that people with pre-existing conditions will be able to get coverage. The House bill also allows for existing policies to be grandfathered in, so individual purchasers who like their coverage will be able to keep it.

*******
MYTH: 120 Million Americans Will Be Deprived of Health Care
Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.): Democrats’ plan “will deprive roughly 120 million Americans of their current health care coverage.”

FACT: “False”
The 120 million number Pence cites comes from the Lewin Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of insurance giant UnitedHealthCare, which based its numbers on several public-option scenarios that are dramatically different than what Democrats have proposed. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that in 2013 about 11 million—NOT 120 million—Americans will end up voluntarily enrolling in the public option, and none of them will be “deprived” of coverage.

*******
MYTH: There is a Republican Plan
Minority Whip Cantor: “The Republican plan” provides “access to affordable basic coverage.”

FACT: “Republicans have yet to coalesce around a single plan.”
Even though the House Republicans’ “Health Care Solutions Group” guaranteed a counter proposal, they have refused to release a plan to the public.

Meanwhile, the opposition groups have dog eared copies of the actual House Resolution 3200 bookmarked with sticky notes as their source for talking points. I've got to admit, carrying a little folding pamphlet of a few out-of-context regurgitatable talking points* is easier to haul around than a 1018 page legislative bill. Clever, those Democrats.

(* I originally wrote "pints" instead of "points". I would in no way want to suggest that our Democrat/Socialist friends who support the Obamacare plan have a drinking problem. It was an innocent Freudian slip.)

If You Can't Trust a Kid, Who Can You Trust?

The choice of little Julia Hall from Malden, Massachusetts by Obama at the Portsmouth Town Hall meeting Tuesday was supposed to look spontaneous and cute. At first, it appeared just as it seemed because her question referred to the protest signs she had seen as she entered the high school auditorium.

[Obama] All right. Let's -- this young lady right here. All right, this young lady right here. She's still enjoying her summer. When do you go back to school?

Q I go back to school September 3rd.

THE PRESIDENT: September 3rd, okay. What's your name?

Q Julia Hall from Malden, Massachusetts.

THE PRESIDENT: Nice to meet you, Julia. (Applause.)

Q I saw -- as I was walking in, I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming health care. How do kids know what is true, and why do people want a new system that can -- that help more of us?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, the -- I've seen some of those signs. (Laughter.) Let me just be specific about some things that I've been hearing lately that we just need to dispose of here. The rumor that's been circulating a lot lately is this idea that somehow the House of Representatives voted for "death panels" that will basically pull the plug on grandma because we've decided that we don't -- it's too expensive to let her live anymore. (Laughter.) And there are various -- there are some variations on this theme.

It turns out that I guess this arose out of a provision in one of the House bills that allowed Medicare to reimburse people for consultations about end-of-life care, setting up living wills, the availability of hospice, et cetera. So the intention of the members of Congress was to give people more information so that they could handle issues of end-of-life care when they're ready, on their own terms. It wasn't forcing anybody to do anything. This is I guess where the rumor came from.

The irony is that actually one of the chief sponsors of this bill originally was a Republican -- then House member, now senator, named Johnny Isakson from Georgia -- who very sensibly thought this is something that would expand people's options. And somehow it's gotten spun into this idea of "death panels." I am not in favor of that. So just I want to -- (applause.) I want to clear the air here.
Indigo Continuum
Okay, that was ironic. What wasn't ironic is the cute little girl, Julia, was planted in the audience for Obama to call upon "spontaneously" so that no one would accuse him of planting adult operatives in the Town Hall meeting.

Meet Julia's mom, Kathleen Manning Hall. She's also an Obama campaign donor to the tune of $6,464 from 2007 to 2008.

Gateway Pundit has much more to the story with several more links and photos of Mom at an Inaugural event and Facebook stuff.

Obama Admits Gov't Insurer is Private Sector Company

The Portsmouth Town Hall meeting on health care was a treasure trove of information. Obama, Congressmen, and Senators have for months been saying how good the health insurance plans are that they have, but always stop short of ID'ing the plan provider. Today, Obama told us at the very end of the meeting answering an Obamacare skeptic.

Q: So my question is for you, and I know in the White House the stand which you're on has often been referred to as the bully pulpit. Why have you not used the bully pulpit to chastise Congress for having two systems of health care -- one for all of us, and one for them? (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Well, look, first of all, if we don't have health care reform, the gap between what Congress gets and what ordinary Americans get will continue to be as wide as it is right now. And you are absolutely right -- I don't think Carol or Paul would deny they've got a pretty good deal. They've got a pretty good deal. I mean, the fact is, is that they are part -- by the way, I want you to know, though, their deal is no better than the janitor who cleans their offices; because they are part of a federal health care employee plan, it is a huge pool. So you've got millions of people who are part of the pool, which means they've got enormous leverage with the insurance companies, right? So they can negotiate the same way that a big Fortune 500 company can negotiate, and that drives down their costs -- they get a better deal.

Now, what happens is, those members of Congress -- and when I was a senator, same situation -- I could, at the beginning of the year, look at a menu of a variety of different health care options, most of them -- these are all private plans or they could be non-for-profit, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or Aetna, or what have you -- they would have these plans that were offered. And then we would then select what plan worked best for us.
That's exactly what was reported by Indigo Red in the July 15, 2009 post, Executive, Congressional, Judicial Health Care Provider is Private Sector Insurer and again on July 18, Senate Democrats Reject Public Option for Themselves, and yet again on July 23, Is Insurer and Government Conspiring to Form Health Care Monopoly? .

The government plans available to Federal employees, every single one of them, are available to the public right now and everyday of the week. If these previously private insurer plans are so good that Obama thinks we should all have them, why is he trying so hard to foist a different public sector health plan on the American people? Americans are just now beginning to figure it out - it's about power, centralized power in the hands of government bureaucrats preferably of the Socialist-Democrat bent.

Chris Matthews Challenges a Man with a Gun

William Kostric is the man carrying the gun at the Portsmouth, NH Town Hall meeting today with Barack Obama in attendance. Obama was speaking at the Portsmouth High School and Kostric was publicly and peaceably protesting with others at the LDS church next door. Police said Kostric and Obama never came close to one another, but kept close surveillance on both men without saying which man was the greater threat.

Chris Matthews interviewed Kostric tonight on the MSNBC program HARDBALL. Asking his usual stupid questions intended to elicit angry replies did not seem to rattle Kostric who kept his cool throughout the 8 minute grilling. Mathews, however, lost his cool midway into the interview when he sensed he had a bumpkin rube on the ropes...

You Tube Aug 11, 2009

DOH! Matthews quickly learned he was not dealing with a man unschooled in American history and political thought, i.e., a Democrat. At about 4:45, Matthews begins tripping over himself to agree with Mr. Kostric. In the lightening round that followed, Kostric answered each rapid fire question easily and succinctly. He even was right about the income tax; Lincoln started the income tax, called the Victory Tax, to finance the Civil War. The Constitution was amended to include the income tax under Wilson, as Matthews said.

Matthews asked, "What are you doing to help this debate?"

Kostric replied, "Clearly, I'm not advocating violence. Clearly, no violence took place today... I'm advocating an informed society, an armed society, a polite society. That's all there is to it. John Lott has a great study, University of Chicago, "More Guns, Less Crime"... people should read it."

Eventually, Matthews caves and says, "I think you speak in a different way than most people... they associate a gun with violence and... force, but you say you're not interested in using force... bringing a show of force to a political debate was not meant as a violent act?"

Kostric: "Not at all."

Matthews: "It was meant as a what?"

Kostric: "It's just another point, if you don't exercise your rights, you will lose them."

Matthews: "Do you think if there were a thousand people today there, all armed, that would have been a safer crowd?"

K: "Absolutely."

M: "If everybody had a gun?"

K: "Absolutely."

Chris Matthews was humbled by what he took for a rube and had his clock cleaned by an educated man who values his freedom, liberty, and rights, a man well versed in his history.

There’s a Man with a Gun Over There - Portsmouth, NH

There’s something happening here.
What it is ain’t exactly clear.
There’s a man with a gun over there,
Telling me I got to beware.
I think it’s time we stop, children, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down.

There’s battle lines being drawn.
Nobody’s right if everybody’s wrong.
Young people speaking their minds,
Getting so much resistance from behind.
It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down.

What a field day for the heat.
A thousand people in the street,
Singing songs and carrying signs,
Mostly say, “Hooray for our side.”
It’s time we stop, hey, what’s that sound?
Everybody look what’s going down.

Paranoia strikes deep:
Into your life it will creep.
It starts when you’re always afraid.
You step out of line, the man come and take you away.

Whoa! Deja Vu all over again. Steven Stills wrote the song, For What It's Worth, in 1967 while performing with Buffalo Springfield. He wrote the song in a different time when the Radical Left in America was protesting the Vietnam War and the violent suppression of the protests being conducted by the Democrat Party.

Today in New Hampshire, the man with a gun, from the Free State Project and Ron Paul supporter, is protesting an attempt to overturn over 200 years of American Democracy, supplanting it with a European-type Socialist nanny state. The government sponsored coup again conducted by the Democrat Party.

Clueless in Portsmouth

Without hint of irony or comprehension of what he had just said, Barrack Obama disputed the claim by opponents that a government-run public health insurance program would drive private insurers out of business by telling a friendly crowd in Portsmouth, NH today that as long as the private sector has a good product with which they can compete, then there's no problem. Near the end of the Town Hall meeting, webcast by ABC, Obama said to a self-proclaimed skeptic,

"They do it all the time. UPS and FedEx are doing just fine. ... It's the Post Office that's always having problems."
And we would then want to trust our health and the health care system to that same government because...?

Linda Douglass Confirms White House Law Breaking

White House Move to Collect 'Fishy' Info May Be Illegal, Critics Say - FOXNews
"The White House is in bit of a conundrum because of this privacy statute that prohibits the White House from collecting data and storing it on people who disagree with it," Judge Andrew Napolitano, a FOX News analyst, said Friday.

"There's also a statute that requires the White House to retain all communications that it receives. It can't try to rewrite history by pretending it didn't receive anything," he said.

"If the White House deletes anything, it violates one statute. If the White House collects data on the free speech, it violates another statute."

Napolitano was referring to the Privacy Act of 1974
, which was passed after the Nixon administration used federal agencies to illegally investigate individuals for political purposes. Enacted after Richard Nixon's resignation in the Watergate scandal, the statute generally prohibits any federal agency from maintaining records on individuals exercising their right to free speech.
Douglass is hypersensitive about having words and comments taken out of context, despite that is how she made her living as an ABC correspondent before joining Team Obama, but she called them "sound bites." Apparently "out of context" is different. So here's the entire CNN interview:

SEIU Defends Thuggery

The Service Employees International Union blog has interesting take on the events of the last few days. More interesting than the SEIU point of view are the comments. One would think that all or nearly all comments would be from union members congratulating themselves for the great job they did at manhandling the Mob as regular Joe Citizen has been dubbed by the Obama administration.

But, not so. Even after apparently scrubbing all negative comments from the thread and archives, every comment as of 1:15 AM Sunday, Aug 9, 2009, is in opposition to SEIU and their actions at the Town Hall Meetings. "With 2.1 million members in Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico, SEIU is the fastest-growing union in the Americas", you would think at least one could write a comment supporting their own union.

Here is a copy/paste of the article, the links, the video, and the existing comments:

Stop the violence at health care town halls

By Dr. L. Toni Lewis, MD

Things are turning ugly. Town halls, which typically serve as open, safe environments to ask questions of elected officials, have degenerated into violent shouting matches.

Last night in St. Louis, Missouri, a reverend and member of SEIU was assaulted at a town hall. The incident, along with a town hall in Tampa, Florida, has been all over the radio and cable news shows. GOP operatives are rushing to paint it as SEIU "thug" violence. That couldn't be further from the truth.

Watch the video with footage from these events: http://action.seiu.org/townhall

Cable news channels are broadcasting images of neighbors turning against one another in chaotic, sometimes frightening town hall meetings. Incited by extremist radio and TV hosts, "teabagger" protesters are yelling and chanting talking points that span from radicalism to racism.

Enough is enough. Click here to sign a pledge for civil, honest debates about health care reform: http://action.seiu.org/townhall

It is extremely discouraging to see people treating one another like this. And it's a reminder of how GOP scare-tactics ("the government will kill the elderly,!" "the government will choose your doctors!" or "the government will ration care!") use fear to overpower the truth.

We are at a turning point. To succeed, we will continue to elevate this conversation, distinguish ourselves from the opposition, and speak to our fellow Americans with respect and dignity. Where we disagree, we'll invite discussion. And when we agree, we'll work together toward a solution.

That's the only way we're going to solve our nation's health care crisis. When it comes to quality, affordable health care, the stakes are too high to let shouting run the show.
Thanks for standing up.

I must say, it is such violations of American citizens 1st Amendment rights as these attacks on protesters that make the 2nd Amendment so incredably valuable.
These actions have brought great shame to the union movement in this nation.

"To succeed, we will continue to elevate this conversation, distinguish ourselves from the opposition, and speak to our fellow Americans with respect and dignity. Where we disagree, we'll invite discussion. And when we agree, we'll work together toward a solution."

During a conference call with SEIU members and Pres. Obama's HHS Secretary, Dennis Rivera called the town hall protesters "radical fringe" and told his "army" to fight "terrorist tactics." Does that sound like respect, dignity, or working together to you?

People at the town halls are average citizens. My MIL attended one. She's 84 years old and has been a democrat her entire life.

The problem for the administration is that these people are making themselves aware of what is in this abomination of a health care bill, which isn't about health care at all. President Obama himself said he wants single payer and that it had to happen in steps.

Some of the items in the bill include:

*Pg 58 HC Bill – Government will have real-time access to individual’s finances and a National ID Healthcard

*Pg 59 HC Bill lines 21-24 Government will have direct access to your bank accts for electronic funds transfer

*PG 65 Sec 164 is a taxpayer subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations

*Pg 72 Lines 8-14 Government will create an HC Exchange to bring private HC plans under Government control

*PG 85 Line 7 HC Bill - Specifics of Benefit Levels for Plans --- rationing of Healthcare

*pg 127 Lines 1-16 HC Bill - Doctors/ AMA - The Government will tell doctors what they can earn

*Pg 239 Line 14-24 HC Bill reduction of physician services for Medicaid

The American citizens are more aware of what is in this bill than our representatives, that's why the people are angry when the representative either does not know and is signing on anyway, or they do know but they are lying.

America is waking up and someone doesn't like it one bit!

It's so funny how companies like this are the reason America is heading towards a dark hole. Bush may have started the path we are on, but Acorn, SEIU, and Obama are going to be the reasoon America Sinks. These people have this attitude like they are owed something. We owe you nothing, you assulted the man in the video, and then you spin and lie. I hope you nor the government never control my healthcare. You guys can't even run a simple cash for clunkers program. AMERICA HATES YOU SEIU. You owe us an apology for being corrupt. I AM REPORTING YOU TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BEREAU, AND WILL BE HAVING MY A LAWFIRM AUDIT YOUR BOOKS.

clearing out comments?

When I was here earlier today, there were a LOT more comments!

Pretty much all negative towards SEIU…

Thanks for scrubbing your site clean of all comments, SEIU. While you're at it, why don't you scrub that ridiculous video full of lies. Here's the deal, if you truly want to "Stop the Violence at Health Care Town Hall Meetings", then don't allow your SEIU thugs to attend and beat up innocent people.

Phillay632 August 8, 2009 9:18 PM Reply

The video on this site is distorted propaganda. In reality, if you watch the full video of the incident, you will clearly see that the SEIU members attacked an innocent black man. You will also see that the SEIU members are the ones who are arrested when the police arrive. It's convenient that SEIU leaves that part out in its version of the video on this site. Since you scrubbed the video, I'll go ahead and post it again. Judge for yourselves.

Hmmm, there must have been a website malfunction because my previous comment disappeared. No need to restore from backups, I'll just post it again:

Wow. I can't believe you included the St. Louis violence clip in your little propaganda video. You do realize, don't you, that the clip clearly documents an assault by one of your union members. If you replay the video a few times and watch closely, you can see that at 1:03, the guy in the blue union shirt rushes into the picture, grabs Mr. Gladney (in the brown) and violently throws him to the ground. An unmistakeable assault. Way to go!

SEIU/ACORN has hi-jacked the system and will need to cease the non-sense if the Democrats expect any accomplishments. What has happened can not and will not be tolerated. It is very sad that we have been decieved as a party and elected an official whom refuses to follow the will of the people. Very, very sad. SEIU obviously does not have the support it claims and time will tell as the group disbands. What a shame!

By the way, you really ought to fix your website so that users don't get an "Internal Server Error" page every time they post a comment. That's why you're getting so many duplicates - people are retrying. Are you having trouble finding a qualified union software engineer to work on the site?

Gateway Pundit attended the St Louis Town Hall meeting and has excellent posts on events of that day:
Dems Sneak Union Thugs into Carnahan Town Hall - 1,000 Tea Party Taxpayers Locked Out

Black Conservative's Attorney Sends Out Letter After Brutal Attack At Carnahan Town Hall Meeting

SEIU OBAMA-SUPPORTER SMASHES WOMAN TEA PARTY PROTESTER IN FACE (Video)

And the on-going aftermath:

Hundreds Show Up to Protest SEIU Thuggery & Violence In St. Louis (Video)

Pretty sad when your own union members won't write in support of the thuggery of that union while the union itself uses and distorts the video made by the Patriotic opposition which has made all the video records widely available on the internet so everyone can judge for themselves. Oh, maybe that's why union members aren't writing supportive reactions and comments on the union blog.
