Obama Tax Cut Jumps Down From $250K

Barack Obama has assured the country that folks earning $250,000 and less will get a tax cut. Joe Wurzelbacher challenged Obama on the point saying $250K was an arbitrary number that soon could be changed to $150,000 or less.

Joe Six-Term Biden lowered yesterday the $250,000 limit to $150,000 in an interview in his boyhood hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania when he said,
"What we're saying is, that $87 billion tax break doesn't need to go to people making an average of $1.4 million. It should go to middle-class people, people who make $150,000 a year."

McCain answered,
"It's interesting how their definition of 'rich' has a way of creeping down."

"Senator Obama has made a lot of promises. First, he said people making less than $250,000 would benefit from his plan.

"Then, this weekend, he announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than $200,000 you'll benefit - but yesterday right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said tax relief should only go to 'middle-class people' - people making under $150,000 a year.

"At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back to his vote that Americans making just $42,000 a year should get a tax increase
.

Hmmm, Obama started at $42,000, went up to $250,000, then slightly down to $200,000, now down to $150,000 and less will get tax cuts. McCain says the number will be back to $42,000 soon. I don't believe there will be a tax cut at all under Barack Obama. Eventually, he will announce that anyone making less than $0.00 per year will get a tax cut. That will comport with his desire to cut the taxes of the 40% of Americans who pay no taxes now.

Agreed, Indigo. I don't believe he will give anyone tax cuts either, and it will be interesting to see him cut taxes for people who don't pay any!

Obama can't stick with any of his proposed plans for very long because the only time he has told the truth is when Joe the Plumber actually got him to answer a question honestly. Obama clearly said that he wants to "spread the wealth around". That should be perfectly clear to everyone exactly what that means. We have a lot of doofusses in this country!

I don't know why I'm bothering, but...

Obama said you won't spend a penny MORE in taxes if you make less than $250K.

Then he said you'd see a tax CUT if you make less than $200K. This is not inconsistent. If you make between $250K-$200K, you pay THE SAME (not more, not less).

Then Joe Biden made a statement that was basically DEFINING THE MIDDLE CLASS. He didn't say tax relief would "only" got to those making less than $150K, he simply was emphasizing the Obama/Biden plan is to benefit the middle class, i.e. those making less than $150K.

None of those statements are inconsistent or indicate a change in policy at all.

Oh, hey, for all your "Hussein" linkage, did you notice that Al Qaeda supports McCain for President? Here's a Fox News link:
