Mentally Healthy People are Republicans

The Gallup Poll has given us proof positive that liberalism is, in fact, a mental illness. The report, Republicans Report Much Better Mental Health Than Others, by Frank Newport and published today says that Republicans are "significantly" - 58% - more likely to believe their mental health is excellent.

In telephone interviews of 4,014 adults, 18 years old and up, in four surveys from November 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007, 43% of Independent respondents rated their mental well being as excellent while only 38% of Democrats thought themselves sane.

Let me restate the above for my Liberal readers:
1. nearly 2/3 of Republicans are normal, sane individuals;
2. almost half of Independents are other than nuts (mostly confused);
3. Democrats are overwhelmingly loony-tunes by 62%, a paltry 1/3 (38%!) of Democrats personally consider their own mental health as "excellent". The Thirty Percenters are obviously deluded.

Further, the findings hold true beyond party affiliation into the categories of income, age, sex, religious service attendance, and education. See the charts here.

The report concludes:

Correlation is no proof of causation, of course. The reason the relationship exists between being a Republican and more positive mental health is unknown, and one cannot say whether something about being a Republican causes a person to be more mentally healthy, or whether something about being mentally healthy causes a person to choose to become a Republican (or whether some third variable is responsible for causing both to be parallel).

MORE LIKELY to believe.

That smacks of delusional thinking. How many of the delusional ever think there's something wrong with them? That's what delusion is all about-believing in something that isn't there.

Imagine that! The first commenter is a demented liberal.

This is no surprise really. You have a political party that has poisoned the well of political discourse with hatered and bile for years now. Of course it's going to have some negative mental health effects.

P.S. Is this the headquarters for the Indigo for President Campaign? Your calm demeanor throughout the New Hampshire hostage crisis makes your candidacy compelling.

Anyone that straps flairs to their chest just to prove "Hillary brave" when she is miles away is certifiably NUTS!

The media left sure confirmed it big time this time! They are nuts!

So is anyone that gives any precedence to it all!

That would be the loony left!

Indigo,
So you got those flyers all ready for me to distribute yet?! Huh! Get on it man!

All one needs to do to know that they are indeed insane is to listen to Nancy Pelosi, Howard Reid, and John Murtha. You don't have to listen for very long - just a couple of minutes ought to do it!

Just had another thought... if a Democrat wins the White House in 08, that will prove that more than 50% of the voting public is unbalanced. Good grief!

Indigo Red said...

Yes, Mike, this is the Indigo for President HQ. And don't forget the donation. I take credit cards, cash, and chocolate chip cookies.

Thanks, dcat, for offering to get the flyers out. I'm having trouble as the flyers keep flying away.

Gayle, have no fear. Only Hillary and Barry Obama have a chance at the nomination. Hillary fears Obama cn beat her so she is in the process of destroying him. She also fears Giuliani and is also trying to destroy him. What Hillary desn't understand is that the top five Republican candidates all beat her in approval ratings. As the race goes on, Hillary can only become more shrill and tiresome.

The Democrats have no viable candidate and the country knows it. The White House will remain in the hands of the grown-ups. But, most of the current GOP guys are fairly old and possibly will serve only one term. So, the question becomes, who beats Obama in 2012?

listen for a couple of minutes? try seconds!

I guess it takes longer for some. Heh... I won't listen to them at all hows that! Clinton, Pelosi, and cruds don't deserve my attention at all!

I say start each day with a positive outlook...

1. Open a new file in your computer.

2. Name it "Hillary Rodham Clinton".

3. Send it to the Recycle Bin.

4. Empty the Recycle Bin.

5. Your PC will ask you. "Do you really want to get rid of
"Hillary Rodham Clinton ?"

6. Firmly Click "Yes."

7. Feel better.

PS - Tomorrow we'll do Nancy Pelosi

The anonymous commenter above is sending greetings from:

Aldershot, Hampshire, United Kingdom

Given the poor spelling and grammer, my guess is this person is a fully grown liberal.

And the answer to your question is - yes.

Insanity is defined as voting Democrat over and over again and expecting good results.

Indigo Red said...

That's it on the nailhead, Don! The odd thing about insanity is sometimes it looks sane to smart people and they vote that way only to find out too late just how moronic a choice it was.
