U.N. Education Power Grab

There is a great deal wrong with the educational system in the US of A, at least parents are still free to homeschool their children. The statistics back up the effectiveness of homeschooling done right. Every year we read about more HS kids getting into universities with the highest entry scores, HS kids are National Spelling Bee and National Geography champs. Well, all that may change if the United Nations has it's way.

Under the UN plan for world homogenization in the 21st century (United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child), children will be required to attend only UN accredited schools. If the parents object and/or refuse, they can be arrested and the children forced to attend the mandated school. All this because the world's children have rights which must be respected. One of these rights guarantees a UN sponsered public education whether they want it or not. In Europe, the program is well under way.

Writing for the Brussels Journal, Alexandra Colen, writes that her husband, the editor of the Journal, was called to the police station to answer charges of home schooling.

He was told that the Belgian authorities are of the opinion that, as a homeschooler, he has not adequately educated his children and, hence, is neglecting his duty as a parent, which is a criminal offence. The Ministry of Education has asked the judiciary to press charges and the judiciary told the police to investigate and take down his statement.

It appears that the Belgian authorities are again considering prosecution – the second time in barely two months. This time the claim is not that my husband posted allegedly “racist” texts on this website but that he is failing his children.
Please, read the rest of the story here. I hope this serves as a cautionary tale of what the UN, the Liberal left, the Democrat Party (though not all Democrats), the Dept of Education have in mind for this greatest nation on God's green Earth. If this doens't scare you, then by all means go see "The Omen" because that's a piece of cake compared to what the UN has planned for us.

Bad enough that public schools in this country are poisoning the minds of young people, and sowing balkanization of our society with their multiculturalist/ anti-assimilation crap.

No way I would let the UN anywhere near a school.

I attended a brief two day seminar at the UN on World Hunger when I was in High School. In two days they had me talking like a Marxist. Fortunately, it wore off.

Fortunate for you, Mike, that you have seen the darkside and were strong enough to resist. I don't wonder how many of our elected offifials can resist because the UN policies are becoming US policies as well as law. It will come down to a shooting war here, I'm afraid.

I remember an original Star Trek episode in which Kirk and band of Merry Men find an Earth that had been conquered by the Communist Chinese. Only a small remnant of America remained after many years of war with a tattered flag and the Constitution which they reverred, but didn't understand. They beat the Commies in the end.

But, that just TV fiction.
