Sometimes a Cartoon is Just a Cartoon

They're not your grandfather's cartoons anymore. The Muslims are up in arms again over some really weak cartoons published months ago in a Danish Newspaper and again in a Norwegian paper this month.

The Saudi Arabian ambassador has been recalled from Denmark, Lybia is closing it's Embassy in Denmark, The United Arab Emirates' Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs Mohammed Al Dhaheri called the cartoons "blasphemous" and the publishing "disgusting and irresponsible...This is cultural terrorism, not freedom of expression."

Egypt is refusing to discuss a Danish loan of $75.5 million while Egyptian newspapers quoting politicians saying they don't want work with a country that has insulted the prophet. Pakistan is "engaged" with the Danish government over the cartoons.

Government officials in Denmark have expressed their regrets, but refuse involvement "citing freedom of expression." The publishing newspaper,The Jyllands-Posten, is refusing to apologize saying "it did not mean to insult Islam."

The Socialist People's Party leader, said Denmark "cannot be a country where the prime minister goes into hiding while Denmark loses export money, Danish citizens are being threatened and Danish flags burned."

An EU office in Gaza was briefly commandeered by masked gunmen demanding an apology from Denmark and Norway. In an absurd action, Arabs are refusing to buy Danish cheese.

In the many months of this particular Muslim idiocy, I have searched for these infamous cartoons, but, heretofore was able to find only two of them. Now, courtesy of L'Ombre de l'Olivier I present all 12 blasphemous cartoons.

Okay, now we can judge for ourselves who the crazy people are - the Mohammad the Prophet folk or the Mohammad the Profit people. Or just Mohammad.

Leave it to you to find the cartoons. I have not seen these posted anywhere else. I have to admit I don't get some of them. Sounds like Denmark is paying a bit of a price. Do you think Britain will see the same furor over Jerry Springer the Opera? Hmmm...

Indigo Red said...

Hello, Lani!

It's been a while since your last comment, but I know you are out there reading. I haven't forgotten you up there in City by the Bay.

Jerry Springer The Opera vs. Britain -- I seriously doubt Jolly Ol' England will even notice.

I read this morn the Muslims Imams have rellented in their protests after they finally realized they were making thenselves look like fools. That, of course, was not the reasons they gave, though.

It's real good to hear from you agian, Lani. Take care and see you in the funny pages!

Let the people who have a sense of humor enjoy life. Cartoons are for those of us who enjoy a laugh; something that those protesting Muslims can not do. Just think of all the cartoons of Jesus Christ, Buddha, and all the other religious deities you and I have seen in our lives. It makes one wonder. The Islamist have no sense of humor. They can't take a joke, like little children, they throw a tantrum.

Indigo Red said...

Dead on, Dr Preston, dead on. Children throwing a tantrum is exactly what is going on. Only problem is that these children have alot of guns.

Ali said...

Are these the children with lots of guns who try to have unscientific teleological nonsense taught in American schools or the children with lots of weapons who launched a series of crusades in the Middle East (routinely massacering far more civilians than modern day jihadists have ever killed) partially because their own church was so divided?
Remember histories.

It's incredibly disrespectful to target anyone's religious beliefs like that- shows a small mind and limited intellect. Making fun of anyone's religion is tasteless- just because there are jokes about Jesus doesn't make it all right for people to makes jokes about Mohammed, Peace Be Upon Him. Your cartoon collection isn't funny, it's close to pathetic. You should be ashamed-a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, and this website is a prime example of that.

Mariyam Khan said...

Arabs not buying danish cheese is not absurd. What was absurd was the Americans not buying 'french fries'!! At least this is an economic protest that goes back to Denmark.

Don said...

Iman Kalim it was rather disrespectful for a bunch of Muslim assholes to blow up the towers in the name of Islam. A religion that promises paradise for such barbarity can expect a lot worse than being in a few cartoons. If you people ever really succeed in starting a world wide holy war you can expect to be totally eliminated.

Khaled said...

Dear Don,
What you mentioned about a bunch of Muslim ASSHOLES and the Islamic religion is exactly the DISRESPECT, do you know why? Simply because you were not there on one of the planes to say that the Muslims are the ones who did it and because I am sure that you know nothing about Islam, did you ever try to read and UNDERSTAND even one Aya "Sentence" from the Holy Kuran? I doubt
Don, I can assure you that even if all Muslims got eliminated, which I am sure will never happen, Islam will NEVER EVER.

Thank you Don 11-5-25

For more info on how I really feel, see my blog. It's Rated "R", but it's a good read.

Oh and Khaled, your absolutely right partner ... we'll never be able to get rid of all the muslims. That's like trying to get rid of all the cockroaches on earth. Impossible! But, like roaches, they can be controlled.

to "Don" and "concerned patriot"
and all those that think these cartoons are even partially acceptable, read this get a little knowledge of whats going around because you all obviously have none. First of all, how is this anything dealing with muslims "sense of humor" why is it that just because christianity and buddism and jewdism have been made fun of, it makes it right for islam to be made fun of. obviously, none of you were raised right by your parents because if you were you would know that two wrongs dont make a right. quick queston to all of you that think that islam is the big terrorist and the mafia leader that does everything wrong, why is it that the news stations here in america and everywhere only tell how many troops have died each day? have you ever heard of how many die a day, NO because its too much to be counted. if you think 10 or 20 or even 50 a day is alot and a big issue, why is it right for thousands and millions to die a day as long as they are muslims? try answering that honestly between yourself. other than that, have any of the cartoons about christianity or any other religion been made by any muslims.if they were i dont think anyone would let it slide. it was most likely not because islam teaches better than that. islam has nothing to do with terrorism or whatever its being accused of. just because one man that supposedly does wrong in the name of islam doesnt mean all muslims are terrorists, that would only be saying that all christians and jews are terrorist because of what they are doing in Palestine and Iraq everyday. why does this world have to have another civil war to gain equality of religions instead of race. WHY?? and why is everyone taking matters into their own hand and saying that prophets are like this? im not just talking about Prophet Muhammed, im talking about Jesus and any prophet from god that is being stereotyped. how do the denmark cartoonists have any knowledge what so ever about prophet muhammed? they are not even muslims! another quick question, how do christians know how Jesus looks? i doubt an artist was sitting there drawing a portrait of him! but its not in my place to say anything about that. just because i dont believe in it, doesnt mean i have any kind of right to say anything negative about it because i was tought right when i was young, IF I DONT HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. thats pretty much my point for now and these were just a couple quick bullets to think about.

Ali said...

Right, as left wing as I am (probably horrendously so by American standards) and for all that I am both pro-integration and pro-Palestine I still defend the right of the editors to have published these cartoons.

Islam has something to do with terrorism like Christianity had something to do with the Crusades and you don't find so many people promoting that these days. Irrespective, I happen to stand by a /secular/ set of ideals where free speech is allowed as long as it is not encouraging hatred (which these cartoons are not).
Anon, although you make some good points you seem to assume that anyone who is not a muslim cannot have any knowledge about Islam and cannot possibly understand its presumably infinite nuances.
Incidentally, the reason that many are fearful of the concept of the equality of religion is that inherent in many religions is the idea that they are superior to others. Evangelists of any religion tend not to be the most open-minded bunch.

Leap Frog said...

Indigo! Love this collection...

For some reason the second one reminds me of cindy sheehan, ugg!

Free speech is more important than someone's preceived slight. Aprox. 4 billion of us who would not have otherwise thought anything of it until the saudi's started whining again, are having a better laugh now though thanks! :-)

SO the saudis have no sence of tollerance, well that was sure obvious on 9/11/01, one should ask them about the children's videos and plays and how they protray Jews, done in cartoons and taught in schools and mosques.

Some 'offended people' need to get a thicker skin and grow up, it's 2006.

anonymous said...

You are asking about how the Jews are portrayed by the Saudis? My answer (and I am far from being a Saudi by the way) is who cares how "Jews" or "christians" or "muslims" or any other type of people are portrayed? It's when you begin to attack Holy or Biblical or Religious Figures such as the Prophet Muhammad, Jesus, Buddha that it becomes offensive. The "humour" as some of you put it dies away because you are insulting the one person in the world who is MOST LOVED by any believer. And I personally feel that most of you have been cowards to not be able to stand up for your own religious figures when they were insulted in cartoons and other depictions (or is that just because you yourselves made them? Disrespecting your own religion eh?) And now perhaps some people are feeling jealous that Muslims are brave enough to STAND UP TO THE WORLD FOR THE ONE PERSON WHO THEY LOVE THE MOST ???

I think it just goes to show the kind of devotion muslim people have, and maybe we should all learn from it.

Anonymous said...

To the anonymous who said Christians are cowards for not standing up for our religous figures, here is my reply.

Anonymous,

For one thing, Christians are taught to forgive and not hate. Because we forgive, we have no reason to harm those who offend us.

Secondly, God says the battle belongs to Him. He can take care of Himself and doesn't need anyone to defend Him.

Finally, Christians fight in the spiritual realm, not against enemies made of flesh, but enemies made of spirit. Example, we fight the demonic forces that are blinding Muslims from seeing the truth by praying for your deliverance daily.

Wise up, sir/madame.

Now the Muslim protesters are calling for the beheading of the cartoonists. (That is going to garner sympathy and understanding for sure.) What I find the most amazing, is the ability of these cartoons, however distasteful you may find them, to incite such furor worldwide, while the horrid actions of "Islamic extremists" spark nothing to speak of in the Muslim community. I just don't get it.

Any Mouse, The bible is two books. I believe christians concern themselves with the New Testament. Something about Jesus making a New Covanent. It would supercede the old one. The great lesson as I see it was when Jesus healed the ear of the slave that came to get him. He told his people to do no harm. I believe beheadings are harmful, but I've been wrong before.

I am a muslim and from what I have learned from our prophet Muhammad and from what I know from other prophets preceding Muhammad, I know that all prophets have come to save people and to guide peoplebe cause they COULD do this. They HAD the power. They were the ULTIMATE man in their age. Such cahracters will never perish and will never lose their influence. Can you ever imagine living without oxygen? If the western intelectuals shun the cartoons as freedom of speech, so they might as well shun much of their history and herirage which has been built upon the good and virtue inherited to all te humanity from the prophets and Muhammd as the last one of them. If the wrold approves of such rampages against humanity, maybe they are moving back to where men like Muhammad was needed to save us...

im really surprised at what people accuse muslims when they dont have a clue what the religion is based on. just because a few members behave roughly under the name of islam does not make all muslims terrorists. islam IS a peaceful religion and it IS based on kindness, generosity and honesty. and i dont understand how some of u are saying that the drawings werent meant to offend any muslims when the newspaper knew it was the first ever to have printed such idiotic cartoons of prophet muhammad (peace be upon him)

Anonymous said...

Muslims refuse to be honest with themselves. For one thing, prophets were sent to mankind before the times of Muhammed and prophets are still with us today. For muhammed to claim he's the last prophet is illogical. It can be argued that morality is in decline, and if it is declining, should Allah send us another prophet with a message.

When muhammed claimed he was a prophet, what message did he give to the people? He said there is no God but allah and he is the prophet. He exalted himself rather than let the real God exalt him. The Jews already had a God, they already know His name. Why did Muahmmed gave God a new name? Why not just call him Jehovah? Because if Muhammed did not give God a new name, he could not gain a higher position for himself in the eyes of men.

If Muslims were honest with themselves, they would turn away from Islam, because it has nothing to do with Judaism and christianity. They refuse to judge the actions of their prophet. They see him as more important than anyone else even though he married and molested a nine year old girl. They cannot question him, because apostasy is strictly forbidden, and could mean their death. In other words, they are ruled by the fear of hell and eternal condemnation.

There is no freedom for Muslims. There is more references to punishment, hellfire, and condemnation than there are references to love and forgiveness. Yet, muslims everywhere say Islam is a religion of peace. Who are they kidding themselves....

Indigo Rose said...

Please, I dont understand....
Muhammad b, what will the peaceful Muslims do to equalize the imbalance between cartoons that have been hurtful to the faithful(but, none-the-less have not destroyed a belief or a building or a person) and the burning of two embassies in the name of that same peaceful, kind, generous, honest religion?
We have religious intolerence in the US (the fire bombings of temples or black churches, grafitti written on churches by bigots), but we clean up, rebuild and show the strength given us by God to forgive and go forward.
What will happen now?

It's amazing but I think Rodney King may have said it best. "Can't we all just get along?"

How many battles have been fought and lives lost in the name of religion. It seems that extremism is the real evil, especially when it's disguised as a religious belief. Moderation and tolerance are the keys to a more peaceful existance on earth.

Home many Muslims would be Muslims or Christians would be Christians if they were born into a home of a different faith? Answer me that... Most people adopt the faith of their parents or their local community. So who is right? I'm glad that people have something to believe in until it tells them to hijack two planes and fly them into the World Trade Center. At that point I start to resent the religion that spawned the hatred. If the radical Islamist continue at this rate they will have no support in the international community.

If they kill oder hold innocent people hostage (like 2 German engineers in iraq), its allright. If someone publishes cartonns which don't hurt any person physically, they turn crazy.
Shows just how the word 'tolerance' is defined...
Sad to see that always radical minorities are able to ruin so fast what vast peaceful majorities built up in such a long time.

To avoid misunderstandings: I don't believe neither in 'God' nor in 'Allah', I belive in norse Gods...and I'm fucking glad to know I believe in a religion that does neither call out to kill non-believers like the Islam (and yes, I have read the passages in the 'Koran') nor to convert by sword and flame like Christianity...

Religion fucks people up...

The rest are pretty .... alright we guess.

But here in Australia we have those nutters (Muslims) running around claiming its ok that they raped a western girl or two - after all they are only filthy western girls who dress for sex and deserve it anyway !
This is exactly what happened in a court in Sydney - now YOU muslims out there tell me where the sanity in that is ?
There isnt any - the crusades were wrong to - death to anyone for a religious reason is shear madness and its obvious to those that have even one ounce of common decency that religion is being used by those at the top for power and greed purposes - not their faith.
Hey - this can be seen in the pope as well - let alone the muslims.
However the pope doesnt run around telling everyone to kill all those who dont believe .... if he does he does it on the quiet - hey maybe he uses the mafia for his hits ?

Build a bridge you idiots (muslims etc ..) GET OVER IT !

I believe that the arguements should all be curtailed, expelling abusses and dirty naming, to defining civilisation as distinct from the spiritual; Lovers of mordern civilization who would insist that every and all human development must be reshaped on one hand, humanists who believe everybody should be left alone to do thier own thing on the other hand, and lovers of God who believe that everything a man does has to be looked at through sipritual eye to digest its manifestations as to its bieng right or wrong before God. This last group of people believe that if any civilian advancement could manifest itself into something wrong before God now or in the future, either by becoming sinful or by diverting people to be sinful, that civilian advancement should never be allowed. Each of this three people must be respected, their principles allowed unlimited reverence in order that the world become peaceful for everyone. The issue of the cartoon in itself is inconsiquential, the real problem starts decades ago. The real problem is when the west refused to come to terms with Islamic creeds. Refusing to accept that Muslims are a set of people with thier prescribed ways of life. The west must civilize them in the ways of the west, or else, how can the west sell thier products, most of which, in islamic views, will eventually lead muslims astray. For this reason alone, the west castigate muslims when they could not easily deal with them, due to thier intense beliefs in thier own type of cilization. What the west and individuals must understand is that there can never be a single type of civilization for everyone to follow. And when you insist on that, you get people who would rather be killed or kill, fighting for what they believe in. History proved that time without number.

Indigo Red said...

Anonymous 2:47 AM,

Reread your argument, please. You are arguing against yourself. You are wanting all the arguements to stop by having everyone agree with you. If the Western way is so bad and the Islam way so good, why is it that Islam is not curtailed in the West, but the West is curtailed in Muslim lands?

Obviously, individuals want what we offer, and do not want what Islam offers. A better life is preferrable to living in caves. Your arguement will always experiance opposition as it does not allow for dispute and disagreement. It is an arguement with which we can all subscribe, however - 'If everybody just agreed with me, we would have a perfect world.'

I am not sure you know what you are saying. I dont know any islamic nation that refuse anybody the right to worship. Islamic nations tried to maintain a moral code that is responsible based on respect for human moral values. if you think that disallowing you to - say - expose your nudity or parade your women and drunkeness in public in islamic nation is restricting human right - tell me a religion that permit that. besides you speak of 'perpect world'? Hmm.. a world with stokefile of weaponry that is manufactured to test on other human, a world that create a sickness in a laboratory to ensure that it reduces the population of other, a world where dogs are fed from a supermarket, the fellow human in slams rot away in hunger with the rich watching, ........ a 'perfect world' indeed.

I know very well what I am saying. Apparently you are not aware that it is illegal to practice Christianity, wear a crucifix, possess a Bible, and read a Bible, or any other Christian literature in Saudi Arabia. The punishment is death.

Anyone entering SA with a Bible will have the Bible confiscated and the Bible will be burned in the furnice located at the airports for just that purpose.

I will be easy on you because I understand the hardships you are under living in Iran. News of the outside world is severely restricted and even more now that your Ruling Council is blocking satelite transmissions. What you are being told is so far from the truth it can't even be recognized.

I hope one day, you and your family can be free of the stultifying edicts of the reactionary mullahs and live as humans were meant to live.

Indigo Red is right in an aspect. Muslim are teached to believe since they were a child and they didn't have the right to access any other information which isn't teached. (Got it from one of my friend, an innovative innate muslin, who has quit Islam and became a Catholic.) Is that make sense? Cause it'll be a very bad situation if many are teached that killing non-muslim would give them a place in heaven with 7 (I don't know if 7 is right) virgins.

Descriptions of the Muhammad cartoons from: Wikipedia

The Islamic star and crescent partially symbolizing the face of Muhammad; his right eye is the star, the crescent surrounds his beard and face.

Muhammad with a bomb in his turban, with a lit fuse and the Islamic creed written on the bomb. This drawing is considered the most controversial of the twelve.

Muhammad standing in a gentle pose with a halo in the shape of a crescent moon. The middle part of the crescent is obscured, revealing only the edges which resemble horns.

An abstract drawing of crescent moons and Stars of David, and a poem on oppression of women "Profet! Med kuk og knald i låget som holder kvinder under åget!". In English the poem could be read as: "Prophet, you crazy bloke! Keeping women under yoke"

Muhammad as a simple wanderer, in the desert, at sunset. There is a donkey in the background.

A nervous caricaturist, shakily drawing Muhammad while looking over his shoulder.

Two angry Muslims charge forward with sabres and bombs, while Muhammad addresses them with: "Rolig, venner, når alt kommer til alt er det jo bare en tegning lavet af en vantro sønderjyde", loosely: "Relax guys, it's just a drawing made by some infidel South Jutlander", referring to the cartoonist's own place of birth.

An Arab-looking boy in front of a blackboard, pointing to the Farsi chalkings, which translate into "The editorial team of Jyllands-Posten is a bunch of reactionary provocateurs". The boy is labelled "Mohammed, Valby school, 7.A", implying that this is a second-generation immigrant to Denmark rather than the founder of Islam. On his shirt is written "Fremtiden" (the future).

Another drawing shows Muhammad prepared for battle, with a short sabre in one hand and a black bar censoring his eyes. He is flanked by two women in niqaabs, having only their wide open eyes visible.

Muhammad standing on a cloud, greeting dead suicide bombers with "Stop Stop vi er løbet tør for Jomfruer!" ("Stop, stop, we have run out of virgins!"), an allusion to the promised reward to martyrs.

... journalist Kåre Bluitgen, wearing a turban with the proverbial orange dropping into it, with the inscription "Publicity stunt". In his hand is a child's stick drawing of Muhammad. The proverb "an orange in the turban" is a Danish expression meaning "a stroke of luck": here, the added publicity for the book.

A police line-up of seven people wearing turbans, with the witness saying: "Hm... jeg kan ikke lige genkende ham" ("Hm... I can't really recognise him"). Not all people in the line-up are immediately identifiable. They are: (1) A generic Hippie, (2) politician Pia Kjærsgaard, (3) possibly Jesus, (4) possibly Buddha, (5) possibly Muhammad, (6) generic Indian Guru, and (7) journalist Kåre Bluitgen, carrying a sign saying: "Kåres PR, ring og få et tilbud" ("Kåre's public relations, call and get an offer").

Just because thats how you personally feel, you cant claim anyone will go anywhere, its not for you or muhummed to decide so shut up. I notice the Qur'an says that a prophet cannot lie. It also says that jesus was a prophet. So therefore, jesus is not a liar and what was written is new testament of the bible is true. Jesus in the new testament says to beware of false prohets eg 'Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.'
so how do you know that muhummed isnt a false prophet who has deceived many? If you truly decide to folow islam, good for you, but you and many others make total fools of yourselves by not truly following it and using it as a cover for your own hidden agendas. Im christian who has islamic friends so ive read bits of the koran, and i know that your attitudes isnt even in line with what you supposedly belive. I think you are a soldier for yourself, just like the rest of the extremists. You just call yourself islamic.
One thing I note is that Islam never tolerates unprovoked aggression from its own side, Muslims are commanded in the Qur'an not to begin hostilities, embark on any act of aggression, violate the rights of others, or harm the innocent. Even hurting or destroying animals or trees is forbidden. War is waged only to defend the religious community against oppression and persecution, because "persecution is worse than slaughter" and "let there be no hostility except to those who practice oppression" (2:190-193). Therefore, if non-Muslims are peaceful or indifferent to Islam, there is no justified reason to declare war on them.
;)
your comments are for you and the extremists.
you say that Allah and Mohammed wouldnt have it, dont you think they can take care of themselves if they are so superior? I dont see anything in the Qur'an that states you should burn stuff down and go psycho over a cartoon.
See thats also why christians earnt psycho over stupid petty things because we know God is quite capable of taking care of himself. Just incase you and your psycho 'soldiers' decide to kill us christians, theres always this in new testament of bible (remember, jesus cant lie because he's a prophet!!) 'Luk 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Luk 12:5 But I will warn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, who after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.' So we aint scared of you and your stupid comments. Fear God. Not Islam. He will take care of you, and you psychos. I promise. ;)

To me this seems self evident. Mob have attacked an embassy in Jakarta and set fire to embassies in Syria and Beirut. Mobs have incited murder in London. All the while these people are furious that anyone, anywhere would dare draw a cartoon of their demi-god Muhammad (Mohammed). Mobs across the "Muslim world" burn flags and effigies and chant "Death to Denmark" but the mere mention that rightist in Denmark would dare to plan to burn a Koran resulted in threats that "all hell would break loose."

They can dish it out but they can't take it. How can a whole culture be this insecure?

Tolerance Toward Intolerance:
Now they are asking not for respect but for submission. They want non-Muslims in Europe to live by Muslim rules.

That what Islam means, right? Submission. Not peace. That's a common error. It means submission and that is what the protesters and the radicals sponsoring, organizing and coordinating these riots what. No mere apology is good enough. And that is why we must not submit, now or ever.

Free speech means the right to offend and insult or it means nothing. Religious sensibilities are not exempt from criticism. The craven US media may be cowering in fear over these cartoon and I guess I shouldn't expect anything different. The New York Times will publish state secrets but not cartoons. So it goes.

But just because the media are spineless doesn't mean the rest of us should be. Resist dhimmitude! Don't submit.

In European countries, with a large or growing Muslim minority, there is a real fear that behind the demand for respect hides another agenda: the threat that everyone must adjust to the rules of Islam

religion of all forms is a crutch. The Idea that there are people so up in arms over this is hilarious at best. fuck all your religions.. doomday hopefull, self hating morons.

Artist renditions of mohommed are nothing new. Islamic artists did it in the past and continue to do so today.

The cartoon rage is political. Islamist leaders want to rally troops to assault the West in a forum that the West will actually see. They are testing boundries and Western leaders are bowing to islamic law. For shame.

Check out http://www.memri.org/video/ (transcripts also available here) for how they rally within their own society. That this is television shocks me and casts doubt as to violent jihadists being in the minority....

W e were built to live and die in the name of Islam and thats what i intend on doing. I will nveer agree to the the taliban and what they did, I love this country it has provided my family with education, stability and a wonderful life, I will always represent this country to the fullest, but none of it possible without the blessings of Allah 9 all praises due to Him). And to that other shmuck that kept rambling on and told me to shutup know the basics of the Qu ran and then battle me, for the simple fact that the Quran is a guide to this life and the after whether it be heaven or hell, so thats what told me so, so you shut your fat lip. This coming from a true Arab American muslim.

Not going to spend heaps of time on this. Killing over a cartoon is like the morons who bomb abortion clinics killing many in the name of saving unborn babies. Someone over there has a screw loose when it is perfectly okay to kill people on national TV then get their panties all wound up over a cartoon. I am sure this is being stired up by a group of ass wipes - those protesting are too freeking stupid to realize they are being used like nickle whores to do others bidding.

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity of seeing these "terrible, insulting, really nasty pictures".. Sure this was a good reason for all the responses which emerged after , performed by those people in "transe" - muslims or whatever, 'cos there's so much stupidity in this world, that there is no single word or religion which could bring it all together.. I was getting scared beacause I thought I'd never see these caricatures - and that would be the proof that, not only muslims, but also western people were going insane! No culture should apologize for its artistic manifestations. Some prefer to watch "Brokeback Mountain"... others prefer to attend "only-men" (boyzone) masses! Oh stupid Heraclitus... oh, stupid Democritus: should we laugh or should we cry with such stupidity?

Stupid. This whole situation is stupid. The Muslims are not big enough to take a harmless joke? Are a bunch of stupid cartoons REALLY worth rioting over? This behavior is childish, ridiculous, and unbefitting an established religion. To the Danish illustrators: what the hell were you guys thinking?? Insulting Islam at a time when anger against the West is at an all-time high? You DESERVE to be handed over to them!

I understand that religion is a major thing, and I understand how people can be deeply insulted over such matters. However, that is no excuse to act in a childish and ridiculous manner. This whole cartoon situation is being taken way too seriously and is being blown out of proportion. Everyone should just grow up and stop wasting our time with stupid crap like this.

Anon 3/23 11AM,

I agree with "You cant disgrace islam merely drawing some cartoon..." then you lose me.

I also like your descriptive "bullsheet" as that is what most newspapers are really.

Are you trying to say that I am a dirty filthy bastard for republlishing the Mo'toons here in this forum? In which case, your very astute opening line is out of place.

If perchance you are actually issuing a threat, I o thank you for offering only a "thought" lesson. I await your telepathic proper lesson.
