How Many Bombs

Last week in Iraq, two major explosions took place that took the lives of a score of Marines. I mourn the lives lost and honor the work they were doing.

At the same time, we must remember the explosions were TWO. Do you know how many bombs, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were planted? Do you know how many were found before doing any harm?

No one knows how many IEDs were planted. We do know how many were found and neutralized last week before completing their gruesome and deadly purpose.

115 IEDs were neutralized!!

By finding the 115 IEDs, how many people avoided harm? By finding the 115 IEDs, how many lives were saved? No one knows. No one will ever know. Had it not been a for a moment of frustration for a military briefing officer when answering reporter's questions about the 20 dead in the amphibious assault vehicle, no one outside of a small group of people would have ever known; I would never have known 115 IEDs were neutralized.

And now, you know.

The life of Indigo Red is full of adventure. Tune in next time for the Further Adventures of Indigo Red.

Oh for crying out loud Indy! You are not being nearly compassionate enough to the MSM. How dare you mention their failure to report on military successes when they are so overwhelmed. Wake up man!!! There is a woman camping outside Bush's ranch!!!!!!! Get your priorities straight.

Isn't it about time we did something about the source of these IEDs?

I imagine we would have by now if the socialist handwringers hadn't been so effective in handcuffing our efforts.
